Letter of the Week

Hello everyone. Just recieved this email from my boy!

hello mom how are you i have a lot of things to tell you hahaha but ok so snow landed on the ground yesterday and its getting pretty could another elder got his visa and my companion said that the consolet called his mom and said that his visa is in the prosses so it should be anyday ummm i gave my first blessing is spanish and i got new shoes and i got to eat a meal called menudo... menudo is cow stomache soup hahaha and it really is cow stomache hahahaha its was pretty hard to eat and the bathroom was pretty terrible hahaha

ok so theres that and i also got a pair of new shoes hahahaha man so i got nine minutes so i am goingt o write a lot... so this past week we fasted and we are working with one of our investigators his mname is frederico avila and he is having issues... his wife is member and he is catholic... they fight a lot and the spirit of contention is always with them and we have been teaching him and finally getting this out of them... we have sat through some pretty hectic situations pretty rough and i always know what they are saying and its pretty heated.. we ended blessing there home and we and sheltering then as we call it basically visiting them oftern and stoping by to say hello... so anyways they told uis that they th ink that there might be bad spirits in there home so that why we blessed it.. they also have a lack of communication and hahah just drama and he said he wont get baptised basically until him and his wife stop fighting... but tommorrow we have a lesson with them and i plan on telling him and bearing my testimony basically telling him that he needs to be baptised this saturday and that he knows he needs to and wants to he just wont admit it i have been praying a lot for this man and i asked the lord when the day should be and it became very clear to me that it is this saturday and that in the lesson i need to open my mouth he is a really awesome guy and really wants to change the way him and his wife live and treat each other and through the gospel the lord will help us in every problem and trial that we have because of jesus christs sacrifice for us. we also might do a pray now and kneel down and pray right there with him to see if he needs to be baptised there a lot of problems but thats a summery i know that lord is watching over us and him and you i love you all sorry this one is short our ride is coming soon but i love you man and i love everyone else aswell

ok first thing is the debit card i dont know what you are talking abut hahaha i use it all the time i would just like you to tell me how much i have on it so i dont over draft hahahah because really of one thing that my shoes are like really old and i dodnt realize how much i have warn them until it raided hahaha and water came into the shoe from the bottom hahahas o i checked it out and in both shoes i have holes!!! hahaha hmmm crazy but there is a shoe place close to us today i am going to go to a chase bank to see how much i have on the promblem is there are no BofA here in utah the closest on is in pocatello and its only a atm hahahaha so thats out of the question maybe you can go to the bank and send me some paperwork and ill send it back but you have to work fast i was also wondering like if you have been watching the account and if you are able to money in it cause if you cant then i want to be more careful.. the reason i say to work fast is because that @ elders that came out with me got there visas and its because they are going to mexico city and the visa works in alfabetical order acording to the name of the mission i thinlk it will be soo i pray that it will be soo we are going to fast tomorrow for some investigators and i am going to definatekly mention my visa because i realy want to go to mexico... so the reason i didnt email last week was because we got super busy and then when we were going to go to email elder guthrie decided we were going to just write letters weel i didnt knwo what you had emailed me so i had really nothing to write about so i apologize thank you for the letters they were awesome the boys letter made me laugh hahaha but abyways lets see whats new... so a counceler in our branch did martial arts his whole life and learned how to do chiropractice and acupuncter and one day we walked into his shop and he was giving a guy a adjustment he asked if we wanted one so i said yes then the next week i felt my back slip so i asked him about it and i set a appointment to go see him totally unexpected what happened... so we go back in one of his kids room and he has a table he says ok elder tell me what happened so i told him abou the las chiropracter and about wrestling and wakeboarding how i am always just doing that stuff so he says ok we are going to do something different so what he does is has me take my shirt off and mixes up this potion of like oil and gives me a massage and finds where my problems are he he would touch different points and ask if it hurt and i told him yes and know oh also the potion is called deep blue and he said its really good for the spine and nerves anyways so then he goes to my feet and touches a lot of different points that really hurt well it was more of pushing hard and massaging my feet and then goes to the center of my foot and presses it and asked if it hurt and i said yet he says well this is your back its not supposed to hurt and then % minutes later it doesnt hurt and idk just did this crazy martial arts massage thing to me it was sweet he says that our bodies have like reset buttons that when they are touched our body basically restarts hahaha its so true and i guess this is what he found wrong with my back... i have no muscles around my lower spuine which it really confusing but hey so he gave me these special work outs i do and said to do them for a week and then come back i need to see how your back rwacts to these well i did them for a week and my muscles are startening to build to support my spine and so i went back last night he gave my more excersises and told me so many interesting things about our bodies and how they work and why chinese people are so skinny and he said its causethey drink so much tea that literally burns all the fatty foods that they eat and he is basically working with me the excersises are building my balance mucles and core he said if i continue to do these work outs through my mission i will but really ripped and cut by the time i get home he also said i should not lift wieghts for at least 2 years till i get more strength he said he is going to give me his email so that i could keep in contact with him he als said that i need to gain 30 pounds hahaha so this is kinda funny because when i left home i was 120 now i am about 140 and this is why when members feed us they give me the same amount of food as they give elder guthrie and then of course i have to eat it the problem is elder guthrie is 2 times my size!!!!!! so i used to suffer but now i can eat my plate and i also eat vegtables!!!! i still cant stand onions but other then that i am solid oh and guacamole man idk but this is also something that happened i ate tacos de lengua and thats just toungue tacos and this weekend i am eating menudo which is cow stomache soup ok sooo letssee right now i am ok with jackets i barrowwed one from an elder and i found a scarf i talked to ann so i am ok but words on visa ok so what i hear is that they are finally back up and running and that we should be good to go sson then a week later 2 elder sthat came out with me got there visas so i hope it will be soon i am sorry i just realized i already told you that hahaha ok other then that nothing is new well we have 2 new roomates hahaha there pretty cool one is really funny he has ESP he guessed my birthday!!!! super nuts but he says he is not supposed to develope this cause its satan powers i told him to turn it into spirit powers hahaha he is undecided today i am going to buy new shoes and also i am getting rid of my towels there were these towels at deseret book that are basically a giant shammy or mirofiber and they weigh less then a paperback book!!!! i also got the childerens primary songs in spanish... so lets see our investigater took a downfall and it was a good thing because we finally know his need!!!! so we can definately help him i got mad at elder guthrie though because he never lets me talk he said to interupt him but i am not rude i have a hard time interupting people like that but another thing that happened is i gave my first blessing!!!! usually i give the annointin part but this time elder guthrie made me do the blessing i did it in english cause i am still working on my spanish but next one i hope to do in spanish we also blessed a house and dedicated it it was really wierd we also casted out bad spirits from the house and to a mother and daughter but personally i dont think there was any but hey they feel a lot better.... so lets see the message of the week i would say be diligent in the lords work and have patience becase the lord is watching always and wont leave astray but you first have to show him your faith and later the blessing will come i love you all i am sorry there was no email but it was out of my power

ps so i have these brown slacks there that i got from DI in az i was thinking about them because i can use them as slacks and i need more pants ahahah i got a few more but if you could send those to me asap that would be great... they are the ones that when i got them they had like bleach stains on it and we got brown die and fixed them remember? they were in my room before i left so i hope you find them

hello how is everything going i am pretty pumped for you guys to go through the temple and you guys are moving out thats exciting!!!! anyways i am going good i know you guys get my emails every week i just wanted to email you real quick to say i love you guys and am rreally proud of your decisions you guys are taking life is going to be rough for a start up but it will be better i know you know that but just know you guys are in my prayers hows my boys doin haha i miss hanging out with braiden haha i love that guy i have his picture hanging up on my wall haha well i better get going i love you guys a ton!!

well yea everything is good except winter is almost here and i have snow clothes or warm clothes at all but we wioll see what happens i am pumped for you guys to go through the temple i just did a session today and it was really hard to stay awake but the ending is worth it. oh man i dont want to get anymore clothes cause when i get my visa i wont take them to mexico haha

Thoughts on General Conference

so yes the raising kids thing amazing and exactly about that i think that was the same talk that said what if your kid is on the railroad tracks and a train was coming you told them to move and they said no im ok would you just ignore them? no you would go out there and pick them up and save them sometimes thats what wehave to do i know i am not a parent but i agree because it is what i would do with my little brothers and friends.. ok and the thing about not believing theres a few thing because we meet a lot of inactives that says they just dont believe and theres a few things wrong 1. they dont have a testimony of there own knowing it is true 2. they are not praying and reading thye scriptures... man there is only one way for people to know that this church is true and that is through praying with a sincere heart and true intention to know if it is true or not there is only one way to know it is true and its throuugh the spirit because christ will manifest all truth unto us through the spirit moroni 10:4-5 so if i were you if you get a chance you simply tell them that you respect there desicion of not believeing it is true but you cant say it isnt true if you havent found out for yourself and just as moronis promise in those scriptures they will come to know it is true just as joseph smith found out through his prayer it might now be as intense but it will be something they cant deny and i can promise you that because it happened to me in the MTC. but also whether they are under 18 or not everyone has there own right to there free agency not even god can take that away we can only influence them in a way to do good and stay close to our father in heaven because there was a talk in the prieshood session i hope dad has shared with you about a cow that wanted to go to the other side of this fence to eat this wheat but as you know cows cant eat what ever that stuff its because they dont stop and the food expands in there stomache and they die and the only thing that was holding them back was a small barb wire fence and one cow broke through and she died now the person in the story said you stupid cow dont you know that fence was there to protect you... well heavenly father has givin us a fence and sometimes it may look greener on the other side but it isnt it only follows sorry trials loneliness sadness and all of the following something that i told a friend is a lot of people think they're happy but in reality there is something missing its this gospel there happiness is fake happiness and they know it.. i know that is random and also kinda harsh but its true people who say they dont believe is because they haventtried to know and havent tried to find out for themselves they have been living off there parents words cause thats all they have ever know and now that they have even m,ore influences from there friends and from the world they dont really know what is going on and sometimes they forget they have there own choice to know to find out because its the gift of agency thtat our father has givin us so if you want to take the this part to your class and read it to them from your missionary tell them this...the prophets in this time the prophets in the old time and even jesus christ has told us if you want to know then come and see go and find ou for yourself and for me as a representative of jesus christ i invite you to do as moroni has challenged everyone to know.. after recieving these teaching to go and ask god your self through earnest prayer, sincere heart and true intention if these things are NOT true and having faith in jesus christ that he will manifest it unto you through the power of the holy ghost and you will know the truth of all things again that is moroni 10:4-5..... ok now for teaching mother... when you teach with the spirit it doesnt really matter what yo say as long as it is what the spirit is telling you to say then you cant go wrong and when you dont know what to say just open your mouth and it will be filled with the words of the lord thats also a promise many times in doctine and covenants i dont know where though dont worry mom just keep working do all you can to invite everyione to come unto christ... i dont ally have any stories this week winter is coming its starting to get colder and i have no winter cloths i hope my visa come soon!!!!!.......i love all of you i hope you are doing well i i hope that this letter finds who ever reads it well read the book of mormon as much as possible pres. eyring instructs to read untill you feel the spirit and then a little bit more i love you guys pray every night and morning !!!
